2 Baggage Check your carry-on and checked baggage meets the allowances on airline’s website
3 Travel Documents Ensure you have the documents needed for domestic travel which include your tickets and photo identification.
4 Flight Status Check your flight departure and check-In times before you head to the airport online or from your mobile.
5 check-in Online Check-In from home between 24 hours and 1 hour before you departure if eligible plus request your seat.
6 Passports Make sure your passport is arranged well in advance of your departure date valid for at least 6 months from departure and valid for the duration of your trip. It’s also a good idea to leave a copy of your passport and travel documents with someone at home. The Australian Government encourages all Australians travelling overseas to register with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade before travel so you can be contacted in an emergency
7 Visas If you live in Australia visit Visa Central to request and process your visa application.
8 Health Check the health requirements for all of the destinations in your trip.
9 Foreign Currency Change your own currency to Australian dollars in advance.
10 Tickets You should carry your e-ticket receipt at all times for your international  flight and photographic identification must be produced at check-in.
11 Customs and Quarantine For restrictions on goods that you can bring in and out of Australia.
12 Check-in Check-in from your mobile between 24 hours and 45 minutes or online between 24hours and 1 hour before your departure If eligible.
13 Book your accommodation Upon arrival In Australia It is probably a good idea to have pre-booked your first few nights accommodation just until you find your feet.
14 Set up an Australian bank account When working in Australia your wages will need to be paid into an Aussie bank account This you can sort out when you arrive in Oz you will need to take along your passport and some money to get started or some travel suppliers for example STA will help sort It out for you before you leave.
15 Apply for an Australian Tax File Number You will need an Australian Tax File Number (TFN) to work in Australia РMost employers will require you to provide them with this before you start work so It is a good idea to get this sorted pronto Visit: www.ato.gov.au  for more information.
16 Get an International Sim Card It’s a good idea to stay in touch when you are away – even if It’s just to make people jealous about all the awesome experiences that you are having! An International Sim is a good way to get excellent value on Local and International calls.
