Business Internship Program
What is the Business Internship Program?
This program allows participants to work at a company in Melbourne for 4 to 6 weeks and gain real work experience.
Although the internship is unpaid, it offers a valuable opportunity to work in environments that are often difficult to access. The experience is highly regarded and can be effectively utilized for job hunting in both Australia and Japan.
By gaining experience that cannot be obtained through language school alone, participants can work in an environment where using English on a daily basis is natural. This enables a significant improvement in English skills compared to a standard language study program.
In addition, by gaining business experience as an intern at an overseas company, participants can actively output English in real business situations and develop practical, usable English skills.
Furthermore, participants can gain valuable experiences that are difficult to obtain through other study abroad programs, such as cross-cultural understanding, business experience, and overseas job interviews.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q) Can I choose the position or company?
A) Placements are determined based on the participant’s English level and experience. While we will do our best to match your preferences, placements may differ due to insufficient English proficiency or seasonal factors. Applicants can list up to three preferences, and in most cases, placements are decided within those choices. Many participants use this experience to prepare for job hunting in Japan.
Q) Is an internship placement guaranteed?
A) Since the program requires an Intermediate level of English or higher, all eligible applicants can participate in an internship at some company.
Q) Is it possible to be hired as a paid employee?
A) Some past participants have been officially hired after completing their internship. However, this program is not designed with paid employment as a guarantee. It is intended for those who wish to leverage internship experience for future employment in Australia or Japan.
Q) Will I be working in an English-speaking environment?
A) Yes. Some companies may have Japanese staff, but placements at Japanese-only workplaces are not arranged. Participants can gain experience in an English-speaking environment.
