Time Study Terms of Service
Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service aim to establish the conditions and procedures for using membership services (hereinafter referred to as "Services") provided through the internet service operated by TimeStudy Study Abroad Agency (hereinafter referred to as "Company") in accordance with the Telecommunications Business Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Article 2 (Notice)
- These regulations take effect upon posting on the service screen or notifying members through other methods.
- The Company may modify these regulations, and the modified regulations take effect through notification methods specified in Paragraph 1.
Article 3 (Matters Not Specified in Terms)
Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by the Telecommunications Business Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other relevant laws and regulations.
Article 4 (Definitions)
The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:
- "Member" refers to an individual who has entered into a service usage contract with the Company.
- "User" refers to all members and non-members who access the Company's website and use the content and services provided by the Company in accordance with these Terms.
- "Non-member" refers to an individual who uses the Company's services without being a member.
- "Content" refers to information or materials expressed in codes, characters, voice, sound, images, or videos used in information and communications networks as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1, Item 1 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, which are produced or processed in electronic form to enhance their preservation and utilization.
- "ID" refers to a combination of characters or numbers determined by the member and approved by the Company for member identification and service use.
- "Password" refers to a combination of characters or numbers set by the "member" to verify their identity matching their assigned ID and protect confidentiality.
- "Operator" refers to a person selected by the Company for overall management and smooth operation of the service.
Chapter 2: Service Usage Contract
Article 5 (Formation of Usage Contract)
- Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms when clicking the "Agree" button for the Terms of Use.
- The usage contract is established when the Company accepts the member's application for registration.
Article 6 (Reservation and Rejection of Usage Contract)
- The Company may reserve acceptance of the usage contract in the following cases:
- When there is insufficient service facility capacity
- When there are technical issues in providing the service
- When the Company deems it necessary for other reasons
- The Company may reject acceptance of the usage contract in the following cases:
- When using a false name or another person's identity
- When providing false information or failing to provide information required by the "Company"
Article 7 (Changes to Usage Contract Terms)
- Users must immediately access the service and update the following changes when they occur:
- Address and phone number
- Password
- Other matters recognized by the Company
- ID may be changed upon user request in the following cases:
- When privacy concerns arise due to registration with phone number, resident registration number, etc.
- When causing offense to others
- Other cases recognized by the Company
Chapter 3: Service Usage
Article 8 (Company Obligations)
The Company shall not disclose or distribute members' personal information known through service provision to third parties without the member's consent. However, this does not apply when requested by state agencies under telecommunications laws, for criminal investigation purposes, by the Information and Communications Ethics Committee, or through procedures specified in other relevant laws.
Article 9 (Member Obligations Regarding User ID and Password Management)
- Members are responsible for all management of their user ID and password. Members are responsible for all consequences arising from negligent management or misuse of their user ID and password.
- Members must immediately notify the Company upon discovering unauthorized use of their user ID and password.
Article 10 (General Member Obligations Regarding Service)
- Members must not engage in the following activities when using the service:
- Unauthorized use of another member's user ID
- Reproducing, publishing, broadcasting, or providing to third parties information obtained from the service without the Company's prior consent for purposes other than member use
- Infringing on third-party copyrights or other rights
- Distributing information, text, figures, etc., that violate public order and morality to others
- Activities objectively deemed to be associated with crime
- Activities that defame or disadvantage others
- Activities that violate relevant laws and these Terms
- Members must comply with matters specified in these Terms and service usage guidelines or precautions announced by the Company.
- Members may not conduct business activities using the service without the Company's prior consent, and the Company bears no responsibility for consequences arising from such business activities.
Article 11 (Service Usage Hours)
- Service usage is available 24 hours a day, year-round in principle, unless there are special business or technical impediments. However, this may not apply in cases requiring system inspection, replacement, maintenance, etc.
- The Company may divide the service into specific ranges and set separate usage hours for each range.
Article 12 (Suspension of Service Provision)
- The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the service in cases of war, natural disasters, or equivalent national emergencies, or when telecommunications service is suspended by telecommunications carriers under the Telecommunications Business Act, or for other unavoidable reasons.
- When restricting or suspending service usage under the preceding paragraph, the Company shall promptly notify users of the reasons and restriction period.
Chapter 4: Contract Termination and Usage Restrictions
Article 13 (Contract Termination and Usage Restrictions)
- Members wishing to terminate their usage contract must submit a termination request to the Company online.
- When the Company intends to restrict service usage, it shall notify users of the reasons and timing. However, the Company may implement immediate sanctions if it determines urgent suspension is necessary.
- Users who receive usage suspension notices may file an objection if they consider the suspension unjust.
- The Company may temporarily defer usage suspension pending review of objections filed under the preceding paragraph and shall notify users of the progress and results.
- The Company shall immediately lift usage suspension measures if it confirms the suspension reasons have been resolved during the suspension period.
Chapter 5: Damages and Other Matters
Article 14 (Damages)
The Company bears no responsibility for damages incurred by members in relation to service usage while the service is free. Compensation for damages after service monetization shall be determined separately.
Article 15 (Disclaimer)
- The Company is exempt from responsibility for service suspension due to force majeure such as natural disasters.
- The Company is not responsible for service usage impediments caused by user fault.
- The Company is not responsible for damages incurred by users from information obtained through service use.
- The Company is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of IP information provided through the Company's service network and information posted or transmitted by users.
Article 16 (Copyright Attribution)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights for works created by the Company belong to the Company.
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights for works provided through partnership contracts belong to the respective provider.
- Users shall not use information obtained through Company services for commercial purposes or allow third-party use through reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other methods without prior consent from the Company or provider if the Company or provider holds intellectual property rights to such information.
- The Company obtains permission from the respective user when using the user's works according to agreement.
